Ultimus Fauchevelent is the product of Jean Valjean's plan to attempt to enter the convenant! Ultimus is the brother of Father Fauchelevent whom Jean saved his life and therefore owes him a favor.

Charity School

Jean Valjean made himself pass as the brother of a priest in the Convenant of Petit Picpus, making Cosette the prist's grand daughter. Cosette was gladly educated and raised in the convenant.

The Old Gorbeau House

The old Gorbeau house was an old rackety mansion where Jean rented two rooms, 1 for himself and another one for Cosette. There they lived life very happy for about half a year until, the woman who owned the rent recognized Jean and called Javert to throw him into jail again. Jean escaped by clymbing the roof with Cosette at his side. After their getaway Cosette ended up freezing and perhaps sick. With luck Jean found Fauchelevent, an old friend. He lended a helping hand to Cosette giving them warmth and a place to sleep

Cosette's getaway

Jean Valjean promised Fantine before her death that he would take care of Cosette. After he was captured by Javert and held a death row prisoner, he was sent to work on a ship where he fell into the sea and never appeared again. Jean's purpose was to make the people believe he died. Ofcourse he didnt and then went into the Thernardier's household and escaped with Cosette.
